Geoff Hindson (Partner) – Personal Injury, Wills, Probate and elderly client services
Geoff qualified as a Solicitor in January 1990 after successfully completing his Law Society Final Examinations in Newcastle.
As a newly qualified Solicitor he commenced work for a firm in Newcastle before moving to a firm in South Shields in 1991 and subsequently becoming he became a Partner in the firm of Small Hindson & Co. Following a merger with Southern Stewart & Walker in September 1997 he moved to work at their Beach Road office where he has remained ever since.
Geoff’s early career focused on Claimant’s Personal Injury work and he was a member of the Law Society’s Specialist Personal Injury Panel for 20 years and has been a member of the Association of Personal Injury Lawyers (APIL) since 2000 fighting for the rights of Claimants. He now combines his personal injury work with Wills, Probate and elderly client services.
The firm attained Lexcel accreditation in April 2012 and has been a member of the Law Society Conveyancing Quality Scheme (CQS) since July 2012. Geoff played an important role in obtaining initial accreditation and in subsequent annual re-accreditations.
Geoff is the firms Compliance Officer for Legal Practice (COLP) and Compliance Officer for Financial Affairs (COFA).
Derek Logg (Solicitor/Head of Conveyancing)
Derek worked in local government for a number of years (primarily in Corporate and Town Planning departments) before qualifying as a solicitor in the early 1990s.
He has specialized in residential conveyancing for most of his career although he has extensive experience in most areas general practice having worked for firms in Newcastle, Sunderland but mainly in South Tyneside.
Trevor Marsden (Conveyancer) – Domestic Residential and Commercial Conveyancing
Trevor joined Southern Stewart & Walker in March 2014 and has been in private practice for some forty years having gained experience with major practices including at the commencement of his career Dickinson Dees now Bond Dickinson, and Ward Hadaway.
